29/52 One Year Ago...

A portrait of my family once a week, every week in 2013

Coco: Snuggling in the soft purple rug on our warm bed as we enjoy a rainy winter morning indoors.

Movie marathon and homemade caramel popcorn time! Yesterday was grey, freezing cold and dismal outside. Inside we burned gardenia, orange and vanilla scented soy candles, made caramel corn, drank hot tea and watched a trilogy of movies that spanned from 1995 to 2013. We followed Jesse and Celine from a chance encounter on a train somewhere in eastern Europe to the present day with their twin girls on a Greek holiday. The touchings moments, raw cinematography and focus on conversation between two people as they get to know one another was magical. We felt like we were there with them, overhearing their conversation in a busy french cafe. The perfect stills of a brewing cup of tea, two full wine glasses, a platter of plump, green grapes with cheese... Ahhh I love rainy movie days with my family, home cooked food, and laughter from beneath a soft blanket.

My favourite images this week are of these summery portraits of sweet children enjoying the outdoors and of this angelic face enjoying make believe ice-creams.

One Year Ago Today. July 21st, 2012.

Today marks one year since I married this guy. Not a day passes where I don't feel the same urge to leap for joy, love or simply for the fun. B, you make life an adventure. Everyday.
