33/52: Health and Nature

A portrait of my family once a week, every week in 2013

Bella: Taking the time to heal.

“Climb the mountains and get their good tidings. Nature's peace will flow into you as sunshine flows into trees. The winds will blow their own freshness into you, and the storms their energy, while cares will drop away from you like the leaves of Autumn.”
― John Muir, Our National Parks

This week has been a difficult one. I rest now and wonder about dipping my toes in the sea in the coming days. I embrace the healing process and the pain that accompanies it on the road to good health. I am thankful for the love and support of my husband. I am grateful for the sounds of the sea on my doorstep. I look forward with the hope that I will soon swim in the clear blue waters by the rocky point. I will float in an endless sea teaming with incredible marine life. I will maintain a positive mind to help my body recover. This is my silent promise to myself. This is health inspired by nature.

    1. I'm ok thank you Julie. Byron has been very helpful and slowly, slowly I'm getting stronger and healthier. August won't be 'our month'. Thank you for the kind offer.

  4. Sending healthy & healing vibes your way, Bella. Go easy & take the time to heal. (Personally, I can't think of any better place to rest & recuperate than beside the sea).

    1. Thank you Kathy. You have no idea how badly I want to be back in the water. I had a dream I was swimming in the sea at night, it was beautiful. One day soon I hope.

    1. Thank you Kym, I'm feeling much better. I much prefer being home in my own bed too, although for the first couple of days our hot water heater was broken so I had to shower in the freezing cold water on rainy, winter days. I am grateful for the fresh running water and will never take a hot shower for granted again.
